We like old tools. We don't like junk.

IbuytoolsAZ buys and sells quality used tools that still have work left in them. Every used tool is evaluated for condition, completeness, function, and whether we'd actually be comfortable putting it in our own toolbox.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

Professional and industrial-grade hand tools, specialty tools, automotive tools, electrical and diagnostic equipment, machinist tools, mechanic's tools, and other equipment worth putting back to work.

Complete matching sets are strongly preferred. Quality older tools from established manufacturers are welcome. Cosmetic wear is fine. Tools are supposed to get dirty.

WHAT WE DON'T BUY

No individual loose sockets, wrenches, or screwdrivers.

No incomplete mixed sets being represented as complete sets.

No broken, unsafe, heavily modified, counterfeit, or questionable tools.

No buckets of mystery hardware masquerading as inventory.

A missing 10mm may be practically a law of nature, but we're still going to notice.

EVERY USED TOOL GETS CHECKED

Used tools are inspected for obvious damage, excessive wear, missing components, proper operation where practical, and overall condition.

Powered, electronic, measuring, and specialty tools receive additional functional checks when practical. Any known defects or limitations will be disclosed in the listing.

CONDITION GRADES

EXCELLENT
Very clean, fully functional, and showing minimal wear.

GOOD
Normal cosmetic wear from actual use. Fully functional and ready to work.

WORKING GRADE
Clearly used and cosmetically rougher, but functional. The sort of tool you buy because you need a tool, not a museum exhibit.

NO POLISHING THE STORY

Used means used. Scratches, engraving, discoloration, worn finishes, and somebody else's initials don't automatically make a good tool a bad tool.

We photograph and describe used tools as accurately as practical so you know what you're buying.

TOOLS SHOULD WORK

The goal isn't to rescue every tool ever made. It's to put worthwhile tools back into the hands of people who will use them.
